About

Hi, I'm Zoila.

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who helps people navigate the moments when life suddenly looks very different than they expected.

Zoila Rey, Licensed Mental Health Counselor

My Story

I became a therapist because I believe people need a place where they can be honest about what they're going through without fear of judgment. Over the years, I've had the privilege of sitting with people during some of the most difficult transitions of their lives.

My work has included supporting people facing cancer and serious medical conditions, grief and loss, anxiety and depression, and the challenges of rebuilding life after incarceration. While these experiences may seem very different, they often share something important: life has changed, and the person is trying to figure out what comes next.

My approach is compassionate, straightforward, and practical. Therapy with me isn't about pretending everything is okay or telling you how you should feel. It's about having a safe place to talk honestly, make sense of what you're experiencing, develop ways to cope, and begin finding your footing again.

My Philosophy

Therapy is not about fixing what is broken. It is about remembering what was always whole.

I approach every client with genuine curiosity and deep respect. My role is not to have all the answers — it's to help you find yours. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my job is to offer a space where you can hear yourself more clearly.

I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness practices, and person-centered therapy. Above all, I tailor my approach to what feels right for you — because no two people, and no two healing journeys, are the same.
